It is with great excitement that we can finally announce that Gary Mullen and The Works will be bringing their highly regarded 'One Night Of Queen' show to the rescheduled Saffron Walden Round Table Carnival 8 Day Weekend on Sunday 4th July 2021

All tickets for the 2020 event will be valid for this event and we will be in touch early next yeat with more details.

If you are unable to make the new dates you have untill Wednesday 30th September 2020 to request for a refund via e-mail to info@8DayWeekend.co.uk.

Right now we would of had a fantastic procession and getting ready for what would be an incredible evening for the Sold Out show of ‘One Night Of Queen by Gary Mullen & The Works Official with support act Back To The 80’s

Gary and the team WILL be returning next year to the rescheduled 2021 Saffron Walden Round Table Carnival 8 Day Weekend. Dates are still to be confirmed and all tickets bought for the 2020 showing will be valid!

We are as gutted as you that we had to postpone the Carnival but we know the wait will be worth it next year! Until then enjoy a few promo pieces we had made and an unreleased poster that will now go into the archives.

At this moment on the common the Saffron Walden Round Table would of been getting ready to open the doors to the 2020 Saffron Walden Carnival 8 Day Weekend for the opening night.
Already hundreds of hours would of been committed to getting the iconic marquee looking the part and ready for the Opening Night Party. Unfortunately that wasn’t to be as the Corona Virus outbreak has meant a postponement to our plans.
We now are working hard behind the scenes on the plan for next years reschedule carnival, taking place Friday 2nd July to Saturday 10th July 2021.

We want to thank our sponsors and partners for their continued support to help us reschedule the event and also to all the people that have kept their tickets that have rolled over to next year.

Until then please follow and like our pages on social media and we look forward to releasing more details in the near future

Saffron Walden Round Table are pleased to announce that after the completion of negotiations with our Suppliers and Acts, Carnival will now be held from Friday 2nd to Saturday 10th July 2021.

We would like to place on record our thanks to all those who have made this possible, including all Partners, Suppliers and the thousands of people who purchased tickets and opted to carry the ticket over to next year. The website is in the process of being revised and dates for Gary Mullen's, The Blues Brothers, Family Night with Massaoke, Corporate Night & The Golf Day will be released in the coming weeks.

You may start to see the fantastic Saffron Directory landing on your doormats these past few weeks.

We always try to commit to supporting local businesses that have always supported Saffron Walden Round Table across our events over the last 60+ years.

In the back page of the directory you will see that we had taken an advert out which showcases what would of been before the coronavirus outbreak happened.

We understand the confusion but we would like to make it clear that the 8 Day Weekend remains postponed till 2021. If you have friends and family that don't use social media please can you help us spread the word that we won't be able to have our regular carnival on the common, but we will be back in 2021 to finish the work we started.

Saffron Walden Round Table are pleased to announce that Riley’s of Saffron Walden has continued their long-term association with the Carnival and signed up to be a Carnival Partner.

Andrew Riley said “Ever since we opened over 38 years ago, Janet Riley’s has supported the Carnival. In the early day’s it was being involved with the Trade show in the marquee, helping out when a Carnival Queen’s sash was needed at the eleventh hour and when the lead singer of ABC, Martin Fry insisted on having a curtain installed back stage so he change into his golden suit for the Final Night Party!

More recently we have been a Partner for the past 4 Carnival’s and are excited to continue once again by supporting Nick, SWRT and all the many other volunteers that give up so much of their personal time for the community to make it happen”. Chairman Nick Head said he was “delighted to have Andrew on board and thank the Riley family for their generous contribution over many years.
