GPX routes will be available for each distance and will be published in advance of the event.

Departing from 8.30am the medium route will cover approx 26 Miles, split 50/50 road/off road. The route will be the same as the Long route with a cut off point at 25 miles which will bring you back to the common in Saffron Walden. Only major junctions will be sign posted so you will need to be able to navigate via a GPX file
This route is 12 miles long, split 60/40 of gently rolling byways, bridleways and roads local to Saffron Walden. The route will be fully signed posted and marshalled to ensure everyone has an enjoyable ride. Under 18s will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian and parental consent forms will need to be completed at registration. A great opportunity for families to discover and enjoy the Essex countryside.

The Carnival procession has been a key event ever since the very first Carnival over 50 years ago and is the 2nd largest non-funded procession in the country. Rumour has it that the procession can be seen from space, although we have yet to verify that!
