1975 Saffron Walden Carnival procession
After last weeks announcement of the 8 Day Weekend’s 2020 Procession theme being ‘Planet Earth’, todays Throwback Thursday follows the 1975 Carnival procession.
We are lucky enough to have received this photo from Chris Rayner, 1975’s Carnival Chairman’s, personal album showcasing the impressive skill of employees of LPA-REM with the construction of this Viking Ship.
Next years procession will be held the Saturday 11th July 2020 before the returning headline act ‘One Night of Queen’ by Gary Mullen and The Works.
