Ghostbusters - 8 Day Weekend

This week in our Throwback Thursday, back on 25th August 1984 Official: Ray Parker Jr. released ‘Ghostbusters’, the self titled theme song to the monster hit movie.

The song was number 1 for 3 weeks on the billboard top 100, charted at number 2 in the UK and was one of the first movie-themed videos to find success on MTV.

The film hit screens back in 1984, starred Bill Murray, Dan Akyroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson in a fantasy comedy which turned into a cultural phenomenon spawning several sequels with another due next year.
At the 2017 8 Day Weekend, and in partnership with Saffron Screen, the marquee was packed on an early Sunday evenng for the first ever free movie night showing of the hit film Ghostbusters.
